Sweet, silky, and easy to love — Peru is the coffee that converts people who think they do not like single-origin. Salted caramel sweetness, a silky body, and just enough citrus brightness to keep it interesting.

The story
Grown in Peru's coffee-growing regions of Piura and Amazonas at 1,100–1,700 meters, by farmers within Cooperativa Agricola de Servicios Norandino — one of Peru's most recognized cooperative networks, known for fair-trade practices and consistent quality. The varieties (Caturra, Bourbon, Catuai, Pache, and Catimor) are fully washed and sun dried, which gives the cup its clarity and sweetness. Peruvian coffee has historically been overshadowed by neighboring Colombia and Brazil, but Piura in particular has been producing increasingly impressive cups over the past decade.
How to brew
Versatile: this coffee performs well in drip, pour over, and AeroPress. Medium grind at 200°F, 1:15 ratio. For a sweeter experience, try brewing slightly under-extracted (shorter contact time) — the caramel notes come forward without any bitterness. Also excellent cold brewed.
Why it's in our collection
Peru is the approachable, immediately likeable member of the single-origin lineup — the one the founder recommends to customers who are moving up from commercial coffee and want something that is clearly better without being challenging.
