The story
Grown by approximately 1,500 farmers who are members of Café Organics Marcala — a cooperative in Marcala, La Paz, in the heart of Honduras's most prestigious coffee-growing region, at 1,300–1,700 meters. The varieties include Bourbon, Catuai, Caturra, Lempira, and Typica. Fully washed and sun dried, which preserves the sweetness and keeps the profile clean. Honduras has become one of the most important coffee origins in Central America over the past 15 years, with Marcala in particular known for consistency and quality.
How to brew
Works well in drip, pour over, or AeroPress. The medium-dark roast makes it an excellent espresso base — the caramel and spice notes concentrate beautifully under pressure. For pour over, use a slightly coarser grind than you would for a light roast.
Why it's in our collection
The founder selected Honduras as one of the anchor everyday coffees — the kind of cup that is good on the first morning and still good six weeks later when the bag is almost empty. Reliable quality from a cooperative that has been doing this well for years.
